What we collect
- Address lookups: the address you type is sent to the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder to find its location. We do not store lookups unless you submit a form.
- Inspection requests: your name, phone number, email, property address, ZIP, roof age (if given), the hail information shown for your address, the consent text you agreed to, and the date, IP address, browser details and page you submitted from.
- Storm alert signups: your email, ZIP, and, if you opt in to texts, your phone number and consent record.
How we use it
To pass your inspection request to one local roofing company so it can contact you, to send storm alerts you asked for, to keep a record of your consent, and to run and improve RoofTester. We do not sell your information to data brokers.
Who gets it
The roofing company that handles your request, and service providers that host and secure this site. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Your choices
Reply STOP to any text to opt out. To see, correct or delete your information, or stop emails, write to hello@rooftester.com. Texas and Colorado residents have additional privacy rights, which we honor on request.
Mobile numbers
Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties for their own marketing.
